A New Page of the Moleskine Notebook

With just a few clicks my old blog from Blogger is now imported to WordPress. I hope you will find this new look refreshing, I certainly do, especially only after months I signed up on Blogger I’ve been itching to move out to a host that will provide more flexibility. I couldn’t switch to the new beta Blogger, so I decided not to wait until the blog turns the first anniversary on Jan 18 and made the change. I enjoyed the revamp: Putting a brand new header, cropping my own pictures, maneuvering entries on sidebar. Can blogging get any easier and more convenient than this?

You will now find the Moleskine Book Reviews at the top of the blog under the header for easier navigation. With one click you’ll be browsing my bookshelf! Another new cool feature with WordPress is the category tag that allows you to tag all the posts. Some of my categories include books (well of course), gay life, and travel. The latest comments from all of you will also be seen on the right side. So drop me a note and say hi!

Again I’m excited to turn a new page of the Moleskine Notebook and I hope you enjoy browsing at my new home. Don’t forget to update your blogroll to mattviews.wordpress.com.

  1. Looks great Matt! I like how you’ve organized your book reviews. I’ll be updating my links 🙂

  2. Hi Matt:

I found your website after reading your review of Faye Wong’s “Fable” CD. I’ve been introduced to Ms. Wong via her performances in Wong Kar-Wai’s movies and I’m finding her an irresistable character. I want to hear her music. Do you think “Fable” is the CD to start with? I have fairly sophisticated tastes in music and the pop ballads you describe in the last half of the CD are making me hesitate. If you have a second, I’d really appreciate your recommendation. Looking at your reviews I know I value your opinion.

    Thanks
    George

  3. I loved Faye Wong in Chungking Express…such a fantastic film.

    Welcome to the wordpress family!

  4. The blog looks wonderful. I like the header graphic…did you take the picture yourself? I have to look around some more. 🙂

  5. Matt:

So, in the next few weeks I will be asking you it you are still pleased with wordpress. I must admit, it LOOKS great. Perhaps I will change my page, too.
I will update my own blogroll right now.
Please email me and let me know how you like working with the new page. I am very interested in….. conversion!
[So it converted all of your archives OK?]

  6. Welcome! WordPress is awesome and gets more and more user friendly (regarding PHP) all the time.

  7. Hi Matt. Congratulations on making the move to WordPress. I’ve been mulling a similar move, and your doing so has served to inspire me to get off my duff and make it happen this year.

May 2007 continue to bring you only good things.
